When we receive your rebuildable core, we begin by carefully disassembling it to assess the turbo's condition. If the turbo passes our thorough inspection, it proceeds to the next stage, where it receives a fresh lease on life.
Each component, including the bearing housing, turbine housing, compressor housing, compressor wheel, and seal plate, is meticulously cleaned. Once cleaned, all parts undergo a second round of checks to ensure they meet our precise tolerance standards. If any additional parts outside of the standard rebuild are required, we will contact you to discuss options—this can occur earlier in the disassembly process.
A high-temperature coating is applied to the bearing housing, along with a semi-ceramic high-temperature coating for the turbine housing, enhancing durability. The rotor group, now featuring a new turbine wheel, is then balanced using our 3-stage balancing process.
Once balancing is complete, the turbo is reassembled with a new seal kit, a new bearing kit (with the option for a heavy-duty thrust bearing), and a new seal plate. Before the compressor cover is installed, we serialize the turbo and proudly imprint the "WORK" name and our initials as a final seal of approval.
Finally, the turbo is securely packaged and shipped back to you, ready to provide many more years of reliable service.
