Turbosmart’s Upgraded Wastegate Actuators are designed to deliver maximum boost response for factory frame turbochargers. The IWG75 Series features an enhanced ‘working ratio’ compared to OEM actuators, resulting in improved boost control and responsiveness across the entire RPM range.
This improved working ratio is achieved by increasing the diaphragm’s effective surface area and optimizing the internal spring setup. These enhancements provide greater mechanical advantage against boost and backpressure forces, all while maintaining fast, precise response.
When installed with the same base pressure as the factory unit, you can expect a wider and more consistent boost and torque curve—achieving peak boost earlier and sustaining it longer into higher RPMs. For even greater performance, higher base pressures can be used, though tuning and recalibration are typically required.
