Turbosmart's Upgraded Wastegate Actuators are engineered to deliver the fastest possible boost response for factory frame turbochargers. Part of the IWG75 Series, these actuators feature a significantly improved ‘working ratio’ compared to OEM units, resulting in enhanced boost performance across the entire RPM range.
This enhanced working ratio comes from a larger effective diaphragm surface area and optimized spring configurations. Together, these changes provide greater mechanical advantage against boost and backpressure forces while maintaining excellent responsiveness.
When installed with the same base pressure as stock, these upgrades allow for earlier peak boost and extended boost retention at higher RPMs—broadening both the boost and torque curves. For even greater gains, higher base pressures can be used, though tuning and recalibration may be required.
