The Vacuum-Based Pneumatic StraightGate50 builds on the success of the award-winning eSG50, simplifying operation with a vacuum-based actuator. The wastegate’s self-balancing design enables a broad tuning window, making it highly versatile. Vacuum-based boost control also facilitates advanced gate strategies, such as fully opening the gate during cold starts to meet emissions standards. Additionally, it can integrate seamlessly with factory boost control systems, particularly in applications retrofitting from internal wastegate actuators. The GenV vacuum-based actuator comes with both single and twin-port control options, offering easy connection or boost-assist functionality. Simple to use, the StraightGate50 delivers exceptional performance, flow, and advanced features.
Designed from the ground up and rigorously validated in-house, the StraightGate50 achieves a new level of flow and control never seen in any wastegate. Its zero-offset butterfly valve is exposed to equal exhaust drive pressure on both sides, allowing it to pivot centrally for self-balancing operation. This self-balancing feature reduces the effort required to actuate against high drive pressures, enabling a wider tuning window regardless of how the valve is controlled. The increased flow efficiency comes from the straight-through valve design, which allows exhaust gases to flow unimpeded—unlike the 90-degree turn required by traditional poppet-style valves.
