If you are looking for a custom unit to suit your specific goals, reach out! WORK offers the ability to produce units capable of 700+ HP in a configuration that will suit your goals perfectly. Options include ball bearing, USA made compressor wheels, externally gated tyurbine housings, turbine sizes up to 69mm, split blade turbine, etc! Send an email to support@workturbochargers.com with your specifics and I will be happy to discuss your build with you directly.
All WORK Turbochargers are built to irder and require a usable core to be provided UP FRONT. Typical turnaround times are 3-5 weeks from order date/receipt of your core. This lead time can vary depending on our workload already in the shop as well as the condition of your core. Turbochargers with extreme corrosion, broken hardware or damaged end housings will be subject to additional fees. Please reach out with REQUIRED questions or concerns beforehand! I am here to help you get the best turbo service possible for your Sy/Ty, so, please do not hesitate to ask any questions.
Shipping: PLEASE NOTE - Return shipping is NOT INCLUDED in the price. Once work is completed, you will receive an additional invoice for ACTUAL shipping cost via UPS Ground INSURED and SIGNATURE REQUIRED. There is a $10.00 fee added on top of this shipping cost to cover NEW HEAVY DUTY double walled box and professional packing to ensure your turbo makes it to you safely. If you need a shipping QUOTE beforehand, please let me know. Because UPS pricing changes weekly, and your order may take several weeks to ship out, this is the only way we can ensure accurate costs billed to you when your order actually ships out.
A note about "boost creep". Depending on the specifics setup on your truck, some turbochargers may experience a rise in boost as engine load increases. In most cases this can be traced back to ignition/injector timing not being optimized in the tune, incorrect boost control strategy in the tune, excessive knock retard due to a faulty knock sensor or installation or from the wastegate actuator rod being adjusted "tighter" to increase boost pressure and not understanding wastegate travel requirements. I do offer upgraded wastegate puck sizes and necessary porting work to the turbine housing. If you think this may be a concern for your application, please discuss it with me. Please note that today's modern feul and tuning will allow quite a bit more boost pressure to be utilized, and our modern compressor wheel aero is designed to run efficiently at higher boost pressures. Back 10 to 15 years ago, it was uncommon to see boost pressures on pump gas exceed 18 psi, but it is almost the new normal now.
