WORK is proud to introduce our new TA-5758C, a modern cost-effective stock appearing turbocharger upgrade designed for the next generation Buick enthusiast who was told to "get a TA-49". The TA-5756C introduces modern Garrett GT style Aero for improved efficiency and flow over previous "Legacy" turbochargers that have become obsolete or cost prohibitive to build.

Here is the short and sweet...we need a turbo to replace the TA-49, but also takes into consideration performance and cost. While our flagship TA-5357 and TA-5857's offer the ultimate in performance, we understand that not every customer needs the top shelf solution. The new turbocharger gives you better boost response, better mid pressure efficiency and more boost range that the TA-49 with no discernable trade offs anywhere.

The TA-49 used Garrett's T04E-60 trim compressor wheel that was developed in the mid 1980's and while it was a great compressor "for its time", it has shortcomings in its aero. This wheel family was replaced in the early 1990's with Garrett's GT family of aero, which greatly improves the compressors ability to produce airflow and pressure at reduced temperatures. The wheel also has a smaller inducer measurement (57mm vs 59mm), but does not give up anything in terms of mass flow (power capability). The TA-5756C turbocharger is a CAST compressor wheel unit. We also offer this turbo with a billet upgraded compressor wheel, our TA-5756B (C for cast, B for billet).

The turbine section is our tried and true 56mm Stage 3 T31 Hi-Flow that carries over from the TA-49 and others, offering a perfect match of response, flow and cost for this unit.

While this turbo can be used on a 100% stock car, it is recommended that the fuel system be upgraded to at least 36#/HR injectors, chip and high output fuel pump for guaranteed safe operation. Upgrade to a 3" downpipe, free flowing exhaust and a nice flow air for a combo that will put a smile on your face for years to come!

Want to push the max out of this unit? It will still grow into a front mount intercooler, Alky kit, 208/212 cam, ported heads and intake, along with a super efficient 2800 converter and this turbo will deliver upwards of 400+ flywheel hp.

All of our TA-5756's are built on either a core exchange basis that utilizes machining of your original Garrett turbine housing for maximum boost response, or our .63 A/R aftermarket turbine housing that will flow slightly better at a slight cost to boost response (compare to a PTE .63 turbine housing). Your core must be a stock viable core with no broken bolts, cracks or major damage. The condition of the bearings/wheels does not matter as we replace all of those items with new parts. If the option is available for "not sending in a core", this means I have a viable core you can purchase from me to get the genuine Garrett/Buick .63 housing. These are getting hard to find sand we sell out regularly, so it is not always a guarantee that that option is in stock.

All turbochargers are built to order. Our normal turn around time is 3 weeks or less from the day of your order. If you are sending in your corer for upgrading, please let us know it is on the way so we can turn your order around as quick as possible!
